Imo APGA receives defecting politicians

AS political atmosphere in Imo State is critical that even a laymen knows that all is not well within the ruling party (APC), in the state, as gladiators in the aegis of coalition group has concluded plans to move en-mass to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), where they were of the opinion that they will sack APC from Imo State Governance.

National Light learnt that some of the notable politicians with such conclusions were; Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, Benjamin Uwajumogu, Osita Izunaso and others. Even though one may not conclude about the former Governor of Imo State, Achike Udenwa, there were also indications that arrangement is also on top gear for him to join the same APGA where his bossom political ally, Chief Alex Obi has been for years now.

From all indications, according to the source, all the loyalists of both Senator Ararume , Izunaso and Senator Uwajumogu have already registered their names as card carrying members of APGA in their respective wards while waiting for the D-day when their principals will formerly declare.

However, some political leaders have been of the opinion that if the decampment of the trio of Ararume, Izunaso and Uwajumogu becomes reality, they may have only succeeded in leaving APC for Governor Okorocha, a battle they have been fighting for a long time now.

The pundits also wondered how APGA would manage the two politicians of Mbano extraction, Ohakim and Ararume whom their desperation to be governor is beyond control. Senator Ararume and Governor Ohakim fought dirty before over the same position and have come to APGA now to tussle for it again, the question now becomes whether such ambition will not marr APGA’s chance of winning Imo State, come 2019 general election?

Surprising political development in Imo State on daily basis raises questions, especially as parties goes into primaries to elect candidates.
