OPERATORS of community children’s homes in Anambra must comply with rules and regulations by Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on adoption or face the wrath of the law.

Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Mrs Ndidi Mezue, made this known to newsmen during massive inspection of all registered community children’s homes in the state.

Mrs Mezue reminded operators of such homes that,“interest of children worries the governor. You must be careful in the way you handle their issues. Adoption of children is free in Anambra State. The commissioner urged them to create enabling environment for the children, so as to shield them from suffering psychological traumas as a result of dirty environment.

The commissioner made cash donations, various food items and toiletries to owners of homes as support for humanitarian services they render on behalf of the state.
