PARIS Saint-Germain are considering a big-money bid for an Atletico Madrid star as they prepare for Neymar to leave, a report claims.
There has been constant speculation that Neymar regrets his move to join Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester City reportedly reached out to him to gauge interest over a possible move, while it was also suggested Manchester United were ready to make the 26-year-old their next superstar.
PSG are preparing for his departure, and according to OK Diario the French giants have earmarked Antoine Griezmann as his replacement.
Griezmann only recently penned a new contract with Atletico, but PSG are apparently happy to trigger his €150million (£133m) release clause and pay him an annual salary of €35m (£31m).
The Parisiens are also prepared to lose Edinson Cavani, with Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis admitting he would be welcome back.
“The day Cavani agrees to lower his salary and wants to live here with his two children, he will be welcome,” he told L’Equipe.
“As soon as he wants to, he can come back. With Carlo Ancelotti, he would be the perfect striker.”
