THE remains of the Omanyinya Ameke Nzekwe Akorah of Aguleri, Anambra East LGA, was on Thursday, interred to mother earth.
The late Akorah was the father of Anambra State Waste Management Agency [ASWAMA] boss, Chief Amechi Akorah. The deceased was aged 90.
People from all parts of Anambra State and beyond were present to sympathize with the deceased family.
Speaking to National Light reporter at the venue, Anambra State Commissioner for Works , Marcel Ifejiofor, commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed for peace, unity and fortitude to bear the loss.
Ifejiofor enjoined the Akorah family and Aguleri people to be consoled by the good legacies of the patriarch.
On his part, chief media officer to Anambra State Government, Mr Emeka Ozumba, extolled the late chief, thanking God for his indelible legacies in Aguleri and beyond.
Earlier, Sir Chuka Nnabuife , MD/CEO and Editor- in- Chief, Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation, publisher of National light Newspaper, SportsLight and ka o DI Taa Newspapers and Chief Uche Nworah, the Chief Executive Officer and MD of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), expressed grief over the death of the patriarch. They extended condolences to Chief Ameachi Akorah family, praying God to grant the deceased eternal repose.
