Uganda picks killer squad against S’Eagles for Asaba friendly match

FEDERATION of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed that their international team, The Cranes will arrive in Asaba, Delta State on Monday, with a “killer squad” for the battle with Green Eagles.

According to the report, “the match which is billed for Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday November 20, 2018 will be the second of such between both sides in the last three years.

In 2015, The Cranes humiliated Eagles at Home with a 1-0 defeat at Godwsill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo even as Eagles had underrated them.

There is however an indication that many Nigerians regulars may not feature for the game as it comes up three days after Eagles African Cup of Nations decisive quarter away to South Africa on November 17 in Johannesburg. National Light gathered that three home based players have already been placed on standby by coach Rohr.

There’s an indication that Uganda Cranes are quite optimistic of trashing the Eagles.
Meanwhile Rohr has stated that he expects Kenneth Omeruo to push for more starting place in Super Eagles after his display against Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

His words, “I was really impressed with his performance playing against a team like Atlectico and he was able to stay focused and consistent that shows his good quality as a defender.” He concluded.
