Work to begin in Uruagu-Nnewi Civic Hall

WORK will soon begin on the proposed ultra-modern Uruagu-Nnewi Civic Hall. To this end, the President General, Uruagu-Nnewi Development communities Charles Nwonye, said master  plan for its take off is ready.

Nwonye said that Obi Urugu-Nnewi, Obi Afam Charles Obi donated a land for its erection. He said that a committee for its building has been inaugurated to be chaired by an illustrious son of Uruagu-Nnewi and philanthropist, Comrade Innocent Oganiza Okoli.

He commended Obi Uruagu-Nnewi for his continued support to them and said it would serve as “tonic” to make Uruagu-Nnewi Community more attractive and modern in today’s development strides.

In a short chat at his office, the chairman of the proposed civic centre, Comrade Innocent Oganiza Okoli, said that Uruagu-Nnewi, with its breed of notable citizens in all quarters of office, business, politics, religion and military personnel,

was overdue to have a modern civic hall that would accommodate the staggering wards and villages that make the community for social and receptional issues.

He expressed expectations on the support they will receive to make the project an expeditious fulfilled dream, adding that Uruagu-Nnewi people are known for pulling their resources together towards achieving one common goal.
