Obiano issue certificates to monarchs

GOVERNOR Willie Obiano has presented Certificates of Recognition to two newly elected traditional rulers of two communities.
The traditional rulers are Igwe Peter Ilomuanya of Utuh in Nnewi South Local Government Area and Igwe Augu stine Onyediri of Lilu in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.

Presenting the certificates at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Gov. Willie Obiano urged the two traditional rulers to sustain peaceful relationship among the people of their communities.

He cautioned them against suppressing their subjects while exercising their responsibilities but to run all inclusive representation.

“You owe absolute loyalty and support to government in executing your activities, so as to attract development to your communities.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Greg Obi said government had vowed to restore peace in every community and resolve outstanding issues affecting royalty of the communities.

Responding, duo of Igwe Ilomuanya and Igwe Onyediri said that their leadership would be `awesome opportunity’ to attract more tangible developments to their areas, in addition to already government presence they had been enjoying.

Igwe Onyediri further thanked the people of his community for trusting and bestowing the mantle of leadership on him, promising to give the people of his community sense of belonging during his reign as a king.

He stressed that his leadership as the Igwe would be awesome opportunity to attract more tangible development to the area, in addition to already government presence they have been enjoying.
