Extend traffic light to Ibeto-Bank Road – Nnewi chieftain urges govt

A CALL has gone to Anambra State Government to extend traffic light to Ibeto/Bank Road junction in Nnewi, where motorists spend painful time to continue their respective journeys.

Speaking from his country home ,a community leader and member of Igwe’s  cabinet, Chief Francis Okeke, observed that the administration of Governor Willie Obiano has continued to put smiles on the faces of ndi Anambra through infrastructural and security measures.

Chief  Okeke observed that the refuse clearing trucks in Nnewi is not enough and called for distribution of such trucks or loaned vehicles to clear refuse dumps, pointing that the community attracts a lot of people.

He said that 2019 election should be seen as a period to test the country’s integrity in sound election conduct and display of spirit of sportsmanship by candidates  before and after the elections and should not be a do or die affair since he who loses today can win tomorrow.

He beckoned for the advancing of construction work at Okpunoeze Uruagu up to Nnewi Hotels/Akaboezem, which will connect other neighbouring villages

He commended motorists, especially the FRSC, Police, Civil Defence and other road controllers for easing movement during Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He reminded parents and guardians of the need to check companions their children keep.
