Vote APGA candidates – Sen Umeh

SENATOR, Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Victor Umeh, has pleaded with the Agulu-Awka constituents to vote for him along with members of House of Representatives, Chief Anayo Nnebe and member of House of Assembly, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor for second tenure to have enough time to actualize the good works they have been doing.

Senator Umeh, who proclaims himself the best senatorial candidate in the senatorial district, made the passionate appeal at what he termed “Continuity 2019” rally at Agulu-Awka, Awka South Local Government Area. Speaking to a mammoth APGA party supporters and sympathizers, the senator, who was accompanied with top government functionaries like the Chief of Staff, Government House, Chief Primus Odili, Transition Chairman of Awka South Local Government, Leo Nwuba, top-notch APGA chieftains like Chief Godfrey Muotolu, Transition Chairman, Anaocha Local Government Council, Ikem Obi, said that his re-election for a second tenure would confer him with the privilege of being a “Ranking Senator” which would enable him to be accorded exclusive position to fight for the interest of Igbo in general and Anambra State in particular.

He said: “I have demonstrated boldness, courage and fearlessness in the Senate by championing the cause of the Igbo ethnic group in general and Anambra State in particular.

Umeh, who enumerated scores of Bills and Motions he had presented and passed in addition to the constituency projects he has delivered without cutting corners like his predecessors, advised his constituents in the Anambra Central Senatorial District to ignore the senatorial candidates of other political parties and return him for a second tenure. “Some of the senatorial candidates resort to guttersnipe language and take pleasure in castigating me to belittle my exalted name and superlative accomplishments in the National Assembly”, the distinguished Senator said.

Earlier his speech, the coordinator of Senator Umeh’s “Continuity 2019” Chief Jude Emeka Agummadu, extolled the quality representation of Senator Victor Umeh and urged the constituents to vote for him to continue the marvelous representation which will never be matched by any other candidate seeking for their votes.

In his remarks, the current House of Representative aspirant and former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Chief Anayo Nebe, commended the constituent for their support during his former campaign and pleaded with them to take cognizance of his numerous contributions to their welfare and vote for him for a second tenure.

In his brief remarks, the current member of Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor, enumerated his achievements in the state legislature, including cooperating with the governor in his policies and programmes which prompted him to bankroll all the intra-village roads in Awka for rehabilitation and tarring, among other infrastructural needs of the capital city.

The highlight of the event was the conferment of the title of “Igwe APGA Central” on Chief Okey Chinwuko by the prominent APGA stalwart and “Igwe APGA Nationwide”, Chief Ifeanyi Obi, Mbuze Agulu. Traditional dances graced the occasion.
