Elder Pa Peter Anyaso Ibeneme dies at 107 years

HEALTH has been announced at Umuakporom Ubahu Okija in Ihiala Local Government of Elder Pa Peter Anyaso Ibeneme aged 107 years. Until his death Pa Anyaso Ibeneme started his early life expedition with his parents in peasant farm work.

Most memorable tale about Pa Anyaso was when he trekked from Okija to calabar for a job. The foot-journey that lasted 2 weeks. Unfortunately according to his biography he got no job in Calabar and made another foot  journey which lasted 2 weeks back to Okija. He made a quick entry into farming which he did from Anam in Anambra State of today and Aboh in Delta State where he made remarkable progress in food cultivation.

He was a devout Christian with active involvement in his church activities under superintendent Late Apostle Victor Ifediba popularly known as (Nke Victor) in Ozubulu Ekwusigo Local Government. Today the church he spearheaded its sprout the Voice of Yahweh waxes in his village Umuakporam Okija which members gave him high rated burial.

The first son, a construction company Chief Executive, Deacon Frank Ibeneme described the demise of his father as a minus from his Pa Anyaso rich counseling. Deacon Ibeneme had not much to say than to assure that the father whom he said lived for peace and co-existence of all will be remembered for his faith in God after his early conversion.

He said that the light Pa Anyaso lit will be kept shining by his surviving children.

The wife of Deacon Frank Ibeneme, Mrs Agnes Nnabuenyi Ibeneme said that Pa gave her cordial treatment that she will be missing especially the endearing pet and food gift she enjoyed from him. A grand son Ifechukwu Nwanoro said that he will be missing the folk songs and story tales to them by Peter. It was tribute galore Dr. Sir Dan Chukwudozie – Dozzy Group, Prof. Ikenna Onido from the dept of Pure and Industrial Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe (Unizik) and others talked of the good legacies late Pa Anyaso Ibeneme left on earth.
