A TOWN hall meeting organised by Forum of Traditional Rulers and Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU), Ohaneze Ndigbo of Anambra South Senatorial Zone has been held at St. Cletus Catholic Auditorium in Otolo Nnewi.
The forum was designed to amalgamate all candidates seeking to be elected into various positions of the House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate.
The chairman of the occasion was the Chairman of Anambra South Traditional Rulers Forum, Igwe Emma Nnabuife of Isseke in Ihiala Local Government.
The party candidates for state House of Assembly were given time to sell their manifestoes to the hall filled audience.
All the traditional rulers from Anambra South Senatorial zone attended as well as town union presidents.
Most candidates spoke on provision of infrastructural facilities and tackling erosion menace, including technological and skill acquisition projects that will better the lives of youths.
Those who spoke included Chris Emeka Azubogu, Ifeanyi Ubah, Iju Nwabunike, Rita Maduagwu, Love Okaforagu, Sunny Fredrick, Onyebuchi George Ezulike, Ray Unachukwu, Paschal Agbodike, Ejike Ohamadike, Ben Chuks Nwosu, Nicholas Ukachukwu, Kenneth Anazodo and others.
Igwe Kenneth Orizu of Nnewi, Patron, Anambra Traditional Rulers Council broke the Kola nut and prayed for peaceful conduct of the election while the Ohaneze Chairman, Anamba South Senatorial Zone, Chief Linus Okeke advised the electorate in Anambra State to vote wisely.
