PENTECOSTAL Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has inaugurated its political arm, Social Security Outreach (SSO), saddled with the responsibility of equipping pastors who have political interest.
The event which held at Believers General Assembly, Nnewi attracted dignitaries from Nnewi and beyond such as House of Representatives candidate for Nnewi North and South under Advanced Allied Party (AAP), Love Okafoagu from Uruagu Nnewi, who explained that she should be given a chance as a woman that feels the pain of her children to display her potential via governance and policy making of our country.
She decried the situation where graduates roam the streets seeking for employment without hope and thanked PFN for forming this political forum now where Christians can be groomed to become strong and reliable political leaders.
Another aspirant JK Onyeka from Nza Ozubulu Ekwusigo LG contesting for House of Representative for Nnewi North and South and Ekwusigo under APC party, who said that he will use his wealth of experience garnered from school politics to stand and provide true representation needed by his people.
He regretted that some leaders lack the fear of God but he know that evil does not last. He also thanked and appreciated all those that came up with this SSO as a structure that will be of high esteem in the next four years.
Kenneth Emenike Anazodo for Anambra State House of Assembly Nnewi North LGA still under APC said he will never disappoint if voted in especially with the clergy backup both spiritually with prayers and casting of votes.
The father of the day, Rev. Edwin C. Oli in charge of Save the Lost Mission, Okpuno Uruagu Nnewi, charged the SSO officials and political aspirants to work with clear vision, saying that a vision is a compelling image of an achievable end.
He advised clergy men to go into politics and turn around the wrongs in the system.
The Chairman, Social Security Outreach Nnewi North, Rev. Dr. Chris Chukwu, appreciated and welcome all those that have turn up to grace this ceremony.
Rev. Dr. G.J. Ugwujah, Anambra State Chairman of State Security Outreach charged the newly appointed officers to be dedicated as he made references to the text in Habakuk chapter 2 verse 2 – working with the vision for all those minister that desired to go into politics.
Highlight of the ceremony was file up of all the officers for inauguration as twenty executive officials were called out indicating their designations. Rev. Dr. Chukwu as Chairman, Apostle Sam Mmaduabuchukwu as Deputy, Evangelist Prince Ebubechukwu as Vice Chairman II,
Others were; Pastor Mrs. Pat. Godspower, Secretary, Pastor Samson Agina, Assistant Secretary, Pastor Chris Obi, Treasurer, Rev. Pat Okeke, Financial Secretary, Rev. Mrs Regina Okongwu, woman leader, Pastor Mrs Victoria Chukwu, Auditor.
Apostle Onyeze Ambros was the Public Relation Officer, Mrs Nwaku Nkeiru, organizing Secretary, Evang. Chinedu Edeh, Youth leader. Pastor Dan Enendu , Welfare, Evang. Onedibe Samuel, Provost, Rev. Adaobi Chukwujekwu for Legal Adviser, Rev. Edith Obi, Assistant Prayer Leader.
Other officials included; Rev. John Wilson Ireamoke, Prayer leader, Rev. Austin Dike, Executive Official, Rev. Nwareji Peter as Executive Official, Pastor Nnanna Ottah as Executive Official.
Also present was the State Secretary of SSO, Rev. Dr. Joe Ugwumba; the deputy chairman of Nnewi North Amb. Godwin Igwilo and the women leader of PFN, Pastor Kate Godwin.
