Okeke, in an interview with journalists after exercising his franchise at Uruekwo polling unite in his home town, Enugu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area said he was happy that despite the postponement of the election by Independent National Electoral commission (INEC), Nigerians refused to be discouraged.

According to him “I was expecting a little turn out because of the postponement but i am surprised that a lot of people came out to vote especially the youths. The turnout is impressive.

This is the right we have in deciding those who will lead us and those who decide our faith and that’s the good thing about democracy. I am happy at the number of youths that have come out today.  INEC has a lot to prove as regards free and fair election. There is orderliness and the process is very transparent”.
