BAYERN executives are dead-serious in their intentions to re-build their squad, and in order to do that, they have landed the signing of a highly-rated striker. Now, with the last months of the Bundesliga around the corner, Die Roten are not willing to take any chances and have agreed terms with Timo Werner.

With Liverpool and Real Madrid following the player’s tracks, the Bavarian side was forced to move quickly to lure the player away from the interest of the EPL and La Liga outfits. Werner is under contract with RB Leipzig until the end of the 2019-20 season, which will force Die Roten Bullen to sell Werner before next January, when he could join Bayern on a free deal.

Werner has turned down several offers to extend his deal with RB Leipzig in the past months, and even named Bayern as his first option if he left the Bulls. Mintzlaff offered Werner an improved deal of over $10M per season, but Werner seems determined to leave the club.

Since Bayern has already agreed terms with the player, the Bavarian side will be forced to negotiate the player’s rights with RB Leipzig to speed things up.

Werner is the team’s second-best striker in RB Leipzig’s history, with 55 goals to his name. He has also played 23 games for the German National Team, having scored nine goals.
