WWE: K’Owens returns with Stonecold’s stride

KEVIN Owens finally made his return to the WWE scene and the Canadian professional wrestler immediately got a shot at Daniel Bryan’s heavyweight title. All this went down on the February 26 edition of WWE SmackDown with the 34-year-old dislodging Kofi Kingston from the title opportunity originally set for WWE Fastlane on March 10.

WWE CEO, Vince McMahon masterminded the change on who Bryan will face at the upcoming pay-per-view although it did not suit Koffi Kingston who was the number 1 contender for Daniel Bryan’s belt.

Regardless, Owens and Kingston ended up teaming later that night to take on Bryan and Rowan. The tandem seemed to work with the Dreadlocked Dynamo keeping it professional with KO after the win, WWE.com said.

Speaking of finishers, Owen used a familiar one that most would credit to WWE legend, Stonecold Steve Austin. It was a perfectly timed stunner, something most believed was part of the Canadian’s turn to a face wrestler.

If not that route, both WWE stars could partner once more in tag team action. Unlike what went down on the February 26 edition, things could turn out messy. Big E and Xavier Woods could get into it as well. In all, Owens will need to watch his back since Bryan is not the only one he will have to worry about.
