A CANDIDATE-ELECT in the Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Okwudili Ezenwankwo has expressed gratitude over the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) victory in the just concluded states House of Assembly election held on March 9, 2019.

Ezenwakwo who celebrated the party victory at his residence in Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area, described the election as calm and credible, commending the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the way and manner they conducted the election.

He also shown appreciation to the security agencies for their wonderful supports as well as the electorates who deemed it fit to come out to vote.

The candidate-elect revealed that the election was peaceful more especially in Nanka and some parts in Orumba North and South, identifying March 9 2019 election as more peaceful than that of February 23, 2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections, noted that in his consistency, there had never been any atom of violence; assuring that after being sworn-in, in June, would live up to the promises made to his constituency during his campaigns.

According to him, those who have been representing the constituency have not been doing too well and “I am willing to impact change by first, to change the political face of the constituency, to bring dividends of democracy to the down trodden, to bring federal presence to the constituency”.

He identified one major challenge facing his constituency as erosion problem, saying that he would tackle the problem since his foundation is aimed at empowering youths, taking care of the widows and less privileges in the society as well as creating houses for the poor to mention but a few.

Ezenwankwo who has passion in helping people without any challenge, determined to use the ‘little wealth he has to touch lives thus ” I want to use the new mantled upon me to assist my constituents the more. I want to share their problems with them”, he noted.

Responding on how to bring more people to APGA, he stated,” we are planning to reorganise the party. What is happening today indicates that APGA is bouncing back. I am very optimistic and hopeful that APGA will sweep the state house of assembly election, after all we are winning now in Orumba North and South and other constituency showing that APGA is bouncing back in full force. We will not allow the party to die and I kept telling people that APGA is like a spirit, moving train nobody can stop”,he boasted.

Speaking on the governor’s performance so far, hesaid, Obiano has done well in all ramifications. “That is the reason why all APGA faithful must give him their supports. The governor has been able to develop all the sectors simultaneously. The primary assignment to any responsible government is to provide an enabling environment as well as providing security to lives and properties which he has done. Our support will always be total and unshakable”.

Being the Chairman of the South-East Amalgamated Traders Association, he used the opportunity to say that his winning to the Federal House of Assembly, would add value to the markets in the south-east because in the business community, nobody has ever represented the market in the past except now.

I am the first person that is going to represent all the traders in the country and I keep promising them that I will be a strong voice in the entire business community. I know the challenges we have as  businessmen and these are the things that made me to vie for this election”, he stated.
