ASUBEB Chairman lauds Obiano’s commitment to devp

CHAIRMAN, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Patrick Ejike Ugbaja has lauded Governor Obiano’s renewed vigour and commitment to provide more dividends of democracy to the people even in his second tenure.

Disclosing this in an interview with newsmen in Awka, Ugbaja recalled Obiano administration’s innovation in governance, the community choose your project initiative which is now in its third phase and described it as a model in grassroots development and one that will bring progress to all the 179 communities of the state, turn around the economic fortunes of the rural dwellers and massively enhance their economic wellbeing.

The ASUBEB Chief Executive equally recalled Governor Obiano’s exploits and giant strides in the education sector which has received a great boost with teachers exposed to global best practices with training in Singapore, and students representing Nigeria at the World Schools Debate Championship also in Singapore, and with over 200 students awarded scholarships, among others.

According to him, “the Obiano administration has exhibited a high sense of transparency and forthrightness and has remained committed to the core values of discipline, integrity and responsibility. Within this administration, the true impact of leadership has been felt by ndi Anambra and the governor has set standards in all spheres of governance. I commend him for his vision, steadfastness and passion for good governance at this challenging period of economic recession. He is successfully exploring international partnership to boost investment potentials in the state to better the lots of her citizens.

“The governor’s exploits and giant strides transcend party lines and I make bold to state that his prudent management of resources has brought massive development to all the nooks and crannies of Anambra State and set the state on the path of socio-economic advancement”.

The educationist described Governor Obiano as labour and education friendly governor and expressed satisfaction with the cordiality existing between him and the labour force, adding that such cordial relationship was manifested in their massive votes to him during last governorship election.

Ugbaja expressed optimism that the second tenure of his administration will bring more democracy dividends to ndi Anambra and appealed to the youth to queue into Governor Obiano’s skill acquisition programmes to learn necessary skills, be self-reliant, set up their own businesses, employ others and contribute their quota to nation building.

 

 

 

He called on ASUBEB Staff to be dedicated to duty and shun truancy, absenteeism and redundancy, warning that the present government has no room for those staff that are not serious with their work..
