GAZZETTA Dello Sport have examined the details behind Inter and Milan potentially building a new stadium, a stadium that could be ready for the 2023/24 season.

The new stadium, that will be built on the current grounds of the San Siro car park would cost €600 million to construct and both clubs would put €300 million each toward it.

Construction will take approximately 50-60 months, double the amount of time it would have taken if the clubs were to decide to renovate San Siro instead.

One of the key benefits to building a new stadium is the fact that the two clubs could continue to play at San Siro during the process. If the clubs opted to renovate San Siro, they would instead have to find an alternative venue to play their football.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to detail that the two clubs will see the naming rights to the stadium, similarly to how Juventus’ stadium is known as the Allianz Stadium.
