Ikegwuonu marks 70th birthday

IT was a thing of joy  for Bishop Jonathan Ikegwuonu of Life Care Gospel Church and Ministries Incorprated as he celebrates his birthday.

  Jonathan lkegwuonu was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Mokwe and Sarah Nwoju lkegwuonu  in Umuezeopi Oraifite, Ekwusgo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Delivering a sermon to mark the celebration, the bishop in-charge of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, bishop  Emma Obiora said Nnewi was` privileged to have a Bishop like lkegwuonu who is a God fearing servant and kind to humanity

He said that the church should be praying  for Bishop lkegwuonu and his wife to be renewed and give  strength to the young ministers, and celebrates servants of God always,  saying  that when we celebrates them, we honour  God.  He advised Christians to always pray and thank God in season and out of season.

Also speaking, the governor, of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano thanked all who graced the occasion especially the celebrant, for a healthy life and his service in the  vainyard of God.

The governor, who was represented by the secretary to the State government Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu said Chief Obiano has no discrepancy in denomination  issues, and prayed for God’s sustenance on the family of lkegwuonu and the entire people of Nnewi.

Anambra State chairman of pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria( PFN) bishop Moses Ezedebego, who is also the secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria (C A N),  thanked God for  life given to the celebrant and used the opportunity to condemnd the rising cases of suicide in the country and advised parents to be a watch dog to their children and bring them closer to God

In appreciation, Bishop lkegwuonu thanked the participants                      especially the governor for his  good works in the state.” I give God the glory for his sustainance on my family”.

The event, which took place at jideofor hotel, Nnewi, attracted His Royal Highnes lgwe Kenneth Orizu of Nnewi,  Obi of Umuez opi Oraifite  Chief Kenneth Egbuonu, among others.
