Lady Ifeoma Obi dies at 71

AN Astute member of Anambra State Pilgrims Board, Lady Ifeoma Comfort Obi, 71, has died.

Until her death,  Lady Obi held many positions of women leadership.  The catalogue of her revered services included one of the pioneer teachers at Girls Secondary School, Oba, in Idemili South LGA, under the defunct East Central State. She belonged to Anglican Mothers Union where she held the post of treasurer at St Mark’s Anglican Church, Nnewichi, Nnewi and remained outstanding in the Nnewi Diocesan Women Organization.

The husband, Sir  Harold Obi, had in his tribute said that his wife did not deserve such sudden transition and that her demise will be felt in the household with streams  of Obis mourning for her unexpected blow of death.

Her son, Emeka Obi said that his mummy was an influence that anybody she met was motivated and influenced in diverse ways. He said that ‘Mmili dolu edo’ was a prayer warrior, Counsellor and defender who would want to take a “bullet” in place of her children and thanked her for being caring and loving to everybody.

The Pioneer Choir-Master at St Mark’s Anglican Church, Nnewichi, the husband’s brother, Zeph Obi, said that the late Lady Ifeoma Obi was the pride of Obi family and remained friendly with all his brothers, relations and astute member of Ezeanyanaso Community Women Organisation of their kindred.
