Lukaku ‘agrees’ five-year deal with Inter

ROMELU Lukaku is edging closer to an exit from Old Trafford after reports in Italy suggest he has agreed a move to Inter Milan.

The Manchester United forward had a disappointing season for his standards, with Red Devils boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjær preferring Marcus Rashford as his first-choice striker.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia), the Italian side have agreed to sign him on a five-year deal and the 26-year-old Belgian would earn €7.5m per year before bonuses.

The Italian newspaper added that Nerazzurri are in talks with Lukaku’s representatives as they finalise his personal terms.

Lukaku has emerged as one of Inter Milan’s top targets this summer, especially with rumblings that Antonio Conte will become the club’s next manager.

Lukaku addressed the issue stating “playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream,” he said on Sky Italia’s Lords of Football.
“I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United.”

Inter Milan have yet to make a formal bid for Romelu Lukaku but they want to make the Manchester United striker Antonio Conte’s first signing.
