CAMEROON are coming off a 2-1 victory against Zambia in their last international fixture. They took a two-goal lead through Paul-Georges Ntep and substitute Diederrick Joel before the Zambians pulled one back 13 minutes from time.

Clarence Seedorf’s men are unbeaten in six of their last eight matches as they prepare to defend their Africa Cup of Nations title in Egypt. The Indomitable Lions have maintained a solid defence having conceded just one goal in their last three matches.

Mali suffered a 2-1 defeat against Senegal in their previous international outing. They took the lead midway through the second half through Adama Traore but were pegged back before conceding the winner in added time.

It was the first defeat for the Eagles in 10 matches, although six pf those outings have ended in draws. Mohamed Magassouba’s men have built their recent good form on a tight defence having conceded just one goal in their last 10 outings.

Cameroon are known for their solid defending and have conceded just one goal in their last three matches. Yaya Banana and Onguene have impressed in defence and should comfortably shut out the Malian attack.

Mali have similar defensive qualities with Coulibaly and Traore both impressing in recent matches. Both men will be confident of holding their own against Nsame in attack for Cameroon.
