Mrs Okekeze laid to rest

REMAINS of the late Christiana Okunwa Okekeze was laid to rest in her country home at Aguma village, Umuoji, in ldemili North Local Government  Area of Anambra  State.

the late Okenwa became a solider of Christ at the age of 23  when she was baptised and named Christaiana at St Patrick Catholic Church, Sapele, in the present day Delta State.

Okunwa was married to late Mr Lawrence Egwuatu Okekeze and was blessed with seven children with six still alive. She was on 6th of December 1973 administered with the sacrament of confirmation by Francis Cardinal Arinze.

She lived a worthy life of emulation, and a dedicated committed member of the Catholic Women Orginzation (CWO) and equally participated to the limit of her ability in some pious orginzations of the Roman Catholic Church.

His first son, Tochukwu Okekeze (Nwakaibie), described her as a lioness, a good mother, a true Christian and a virtuous woman, that lived a goodly and pure widowhood life.

Her daughter in -law, a staff of Anambra Newspapers and Printing Cooperation, publisher of National Light group of newspapers, Mrs Tessy Okekeze also described her as a victorious woman who lived a life worthy of emulation.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ANPC, Sir Chuka Nnabuife was among the Personalities that attended the funeral.
