Embattled pastor’s wife, Modele vows to stand by him

WIFE of the Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Modele Fatoyinbo has on Monday, made a solidarity statement that no one can take the position of her husband and also vowed to retain her surname.

She made this statement after the COZA Pastor; Biodun Fatoyinbo made it known to his congregation that he will step down for a awhile due to over 20 years rape accusation leveled against him by Busola Dakolo, wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo.

Mrs Fatoyinbo told the congregation that her husband is irreplaceable. “Pastor doesn’t want me to talk. It’s fine because we have strangers. We have strangers in this house- strange sons and daughters. But God will close the heavens over them in name of Jesus

While facing her husband, she said “you know your friends when you are in trouble. So, we don’t want you to doubt in your heart. As for Modele, until I see Jesus, my surname cannot change. So you better  calm down. We love you and you have always taught us well.  You have always stood on that stage to teach us that even though anybody might be coming from anywhere, God loves them and accepts them. You have never preached condemnation, you have never preached that we cannot change it or make it”

According  Pastor Fatoyinbo, the decision was  the right thing for him to do, in the interest of the flocks of Christ, not to become a distraction to worshiping their God.

Recall that recently, Busola alleged that the COZA Pastor forcefully took advantage of her twice in a week, at adolescent age over 20 years ago.

However the accused pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo said that he was innocent of the allegation, and threatens that he will take the matter to court against the Dakolos for defaming his name.

Earlier on Sunday, it was gathered that over 126 Civil Society Organisations and individuals under the umbrella of the ‘Church Too Movement ‘were seen at Fatoyinbo’s church premises at Abuja and Lagos, protesting and pouring out their bitterness concerning the rape case.

The COZA Pastor thereby prays and seeks spiritual counsel from Christian leaders around the world, who have concern of the ongoing accusation.
