Aguata Anglican Diocese holds women’s conference



THE fourteenth Aguata Diocesan Women’s Conference has ended at Saint Margaret’s Parish Ndikelionwu in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State with a call on Christians to always practice what is contained in the Holy Scripture in order to make heaven.

In a 14-point communiqué issued at the end of the three day conference, it equally advised Christians to uphold the teachings of the Holy Bible in addition to making prayer their watchword in order to subdue the devil and it cohorts.

The conference which had its theme as Jesus Christ the power of God and the Wisdom of God congratulated Governor Willie Obiano on the successful inauguration of the seventh Anambra State House of Assembly and commended him for the N20 million community choose your project initiative, which has entered its third phase, a gesture it noted will go a long way in opening up the hinterlands.

It extolled the security network of the Anambra State Government which has continued to attract both local and foreign investors to the state and  commended the wife of the governor of Anambra State, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano for using her non-governmental organization, the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) to improve the living standards of women and children.

It urged the Federal Government to always apply equity in offering appointments to give the six geopolitical zones a sense of belonging in the nations governance.

The communiqué which was signed by the President of the conference, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, Aguata Diocesan Legal Secretary Mrs. Chinelo Okoye, Mrs. Ada Osondu, Lady Uche Muonanu, Mrs. Julie Ezeilo and Lady Mercy Ezechukwu, while charging mothers to be alive to their responsibilities congratulated Bishop Ezeofor on his 25-year priestly ordination.
