Nibo monarch solicits promotion of Igbo culture

Ttraditional ruler of  Nibo, Eze Ugonwanne Michael Chukwuemeka Ngene has called on traditional rulers in the South East Geo-Political zone and all Igbo speaking states in Nigeria to be part of the campaign for promotion of Igbo language and culture.

Eze Ngene maintained that the promotion of the cultural heritage of ndi Igbo is   sine-qua-non towards their unity of purpose.

According to the royal father who spoke to the press at his Nibo Palace on the imperatives of the usage of the language, efforts should be geared towards ensuring that the language does not die a natural death due to external  influences.

Eze Ngene called on the menfolk and  their female counterpart to localize the Igbo traditional dances  to reflect the culture and peculiarities  of the Igbo cultural heritage.

He expects that the Igbos at home and in the diaspora should reflect on how to ensure the viability of that cultural heritage.
