IN A move that adds another dimension to the allegation of abuse of power leveled against immediate past governor of Imo State and current Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha, by his successor,
Emeka Ihedioha, operatives of Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), yesterday, sealed some properties allegedly belonging to some family members and relatives of the embattled former governor.
The properties are Rochas Foundation College, East High Primary and Secondary schools, All-In Supermarket which are all in Owerri, belonging to Okorocha’s first daughter, Uloma Nwosu.
A bold big inscription at the gate of each of the properties screams, “Under investigation by EFCC, keep off” warning.
However, the management of East High Primary and Secondary Schools has swiftly moved in to refute the news as fake, denying that the schools were never sealed by the anti-graft agency.
According to Jones Onwuasoanya, who spoke on behalf of Uloma, the property was only being investigated by EFCC.
It will be recalled that Okorocha was governor of Imo State between 2011 and 2019.
