NAUS new leaders visit ANPC

NEWLY elected executives of the National Association of University Students (NAUS) has been encouraged to exercise good ethics of leadership to enable them excel in their offices.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation (ANPC), Chuka Nnabuife gave the advice when the new leaders paid a courtesy call to the establishment in Awka.

Sir Chuka, who also shared in their joy of victory, urged them to live up to expectations in the elected positions.

The president of the group, Felix Ijegalu said they were in the establishment to extend their appreciation to staff and management for their absolute support that propelled his victory at the recently held polls. According to him, the election journey was quite tough and brain stacking. “Personally, we lacked the basic funds to push it alone but collectively, we were able to navigate our paths through the waters.”

Ijegalu, who stated that his victory was divinely-ordained irrespective of the level of support that came through to him, thanked his colleagues for believing in him even as he pledged to carry his executives along

The president expressed his mandate to better the lives of students in tertiary institutions and leave good legacies. He thanked the management team of ANPC for their total support in this course.

The new secretary, NAUS, Stephen Okpalaobi affirmed the intervention of divinity in the journey to success; “as earlier said, our victory is divine. It was a collective responsibility on everyone concerned. We were determined to clinch the victory for the sake of improving the welfare of the Nigerian students.’’
