Osodieme commences August tour through communities

WIFE of Gov. Willie Obiano and Founder of Caring Family Enhancement (CAFÉ) initiative, Dr. (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, has flagged off her annual August interactive visit to communities.

Under the programme, Mrs. Obiano will  meet with women in all the 181 towns that make up Anambra State, as well as use the opportunity to feel the pulse of ndi Anambra, especially women at interpersonal level to relay same back to Gov. Obiano for necessary actions.

Beginning with towns in Awka South Local Government Area,yesterday,  Mrs. Obiano and her entourage will call at Orumba North and South LGAs today, while towns in the other 19 LGAs will be visited as scheduled in her itinerary.

Among items on her agenda include empowerment of indigent widows, children and less privileged, especially the physically challenged to improve their

living standards.

The governor’s wife will also exploit the tour to educate women on home management tips, CAFÉ activities particularly skill acquisition, micro enterprises and modern farming methods through which over 5000 Anambra women had already benefitted free start-up capital from CAFE.

Mrs. Obiano will also distribute food items and stipends to deserving women and children.

At Awka South LGA, she  assured  of government’s concern for well-being of indigent women, widows and youths in the state.

She noted that the tour was part of her humanitarian services to widows, less privileged and physically challenged persons in the LG and also to  get feedback to the governor.

While enumerating the achievement of her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), the wife of the gov. emphasised that over 4,000 people have so far benefitted from CAFE empowerment programme.

The towns visited by the governor’s wife include Nise, Nibo, Awka, Umuawulu, Amawbia, Isiagu, Nibo, Nise , Okpuno and Mbakwu in Awka South Local Government Area.
