MSMEs receive free google digital skills training in Anambra

MICRO, Small and Medium Enterprises in Anambra State has received a one-day free Google Digital skills training at King David Hotel, Awka.

The training going on simultaneously in all states across the country was aimed at impacting relevant digital skills on entrepreneurs to enable them advance and compete favourably in any business in the 21st century.

In an interview with newsmen during the training, the facilitator from Sanstonz Consulting Limited, Mr Izuchukwu Umeji said his firm was a specialist training organization that partner with such government agencies with a closely aligned objective which is to assist small businesses in Nigeria.

Mr. Umeji who also conducted the training stressed that the target and focus of the efforts was to equip Nigerians with the basic digital and employability skills that will enable them participate in the digital age; use very optimally digital tools and resources to optimize business processes and then expose them to wider audience, bigger markets and the whole wide world.

He emphasized that the present world perceived as jet age has transformed from analogue system to a digital technology system as the mainstay for the most effective and productive business processes that yields exponential results. Hence, Google digital skill training is a global skill that advances the cause of humanity.

In her opening remarks, the Head of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) in Anambra State, Mrs. Chito Onuzulike said the training was organized by Google, and was aimed at empowering MSMEs with digital skills that will key them into the changing global world.

Mrs. Onuzulike thanked SMEDAN and SANSTONZ for teaming up to organize the Google Digital Skill Training for entrepreneurs in Anambra State. She expressed optimism that the program being quite impactful will give visibility to the small businesses as they employ social media platforms to showcase their businesses to more customers all over the world. According to her, “this will attract more markets, more turnover and more profits”.
