Ven Obi emerges bishop elect,Nnewi Anglican Communion

IT was a jubilation moment in Nnewi Anglican Communion as Ven Ndubuisi Obi emerged the Anglican Bishop elect of the diocese.

Ven Obi, who was elevated yesterday,  is the  son Rev Canon Okwu Obi of Nnewichi Nnewi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area Anambra State.

The cleric, who is expected to replace the retiring Arch Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, His Grace, the Most Rev. Prof Godwin Okpala, who would retire in September, this year.

Untill his election, the bishop elect, Ndubuisi Ob,i was one of the Archdeacones in Niger Diocese.

He will be the third Nnewi Indegene to become a bishop after late Bishop Uzodike, who was the first Nnewi indigene to become a bishop and Bishop Prosper Amah, who is the current Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, Anglican communion.
