APGA has come to stay –Nwakile

ALL Progressives Grand Alliance Party has organised a retreat for its functionaries in Nibo to strategise on the way forward.

  The retreat attended by Governor Willie Obiano and other officials of the party, brainstormed on the prospects of the party, challenges and strategies for improved performance.

Speaking at the venue of the retreat, the state organising secretary of the party, Mr. Anthony Nwakile called on Igbo to collapse into the APGA party structure to make a case for the next president of the country to emerge from the Igbo of the South East extraction.

According to Nwakile, the party is repositioning itself to enlarge its scope beyond the Igbo speaking states of the federation.

The organising secretary announced that the party is also alive to its responsibility, to ensure that the next governor of Anambra State beyond Governor Obiano will emerge from the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party.

On his part, the APGA Chairman, Aguata Local Government Area,  Chukwuemeka O. Ezechukwu, expressed delight in the soaring image of the party, and expressed confidence that its scope will be enlarged beyond the shores of Igbo land.

Chief Ezechukwu further prided the party for being the only political party in Nigeria operating in Abuja with its secretariat built by the party while other parties are operating in rented apartments.

Meanwhile, the treasurer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance party, Mr. Isaac Obadiegwu has eulogised the party as a visionary mass movement of progressives that will enlarge its scope beyond the shores of Igbo land.

Obadiegwu, who gave the indication at the party secretariat in Awka, noted that since it took over leadership in 2006, Anambra State has not remained the same.

He predicted good fortunes for the party beyond its incumbent BOT Chairman and Governor of Anambra State, Chief  Willie Obiano and expects all progressive Igbo sons and daughters to pitch their tent with the party to enhance the socio-economic development of Igbo in Nigeria.

Obadiegwu expressed happiness that APGA is the only political party without a rented national secretariat situated in Abuja, an indication of its soaring profile and accomplishments.

The party state treasurer expressed joy over his recent election as the treasurer of the party and promised to be above board in the discharge of his duties.
