Man’U to bid for Dybala in January

OLE Gunnar Solskjaer could make another attempt to land Juventus star, Paulo Dybala in January after failing to acquire him this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Tuttosport claim that ‘sources close to United’ have told them they are interested in Dybala after their below-par start to the new season.

United looked to land him in the summer as part of their squad overhaul but were unable to strike a deal on wage demands and image rights and so he remained in Turin.

United are lacking creativity in attack and are beginning to feel the absence of options after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were allowed to depart without replacements.

The Tuttosport report goes on to say that Tottenham playmaker, Christian Eriksen is likely to hold the key to any deal given he is out of contract next summer.

The Dane has interest from both United and Juventus and so Dybala could be forced to wait and see what decision is taken by Eriksen before making a decision on his future.

Eriksen can enter into negotiations with clubs outside of the Premier League as early as January over a pre-contract which may force Tottenham’s hand into cashing-in on him in the winter window.
