..Set to fight Roman Reigns

FINALLY The Rock has come back to lay the SmackDown on the highly-anticipated FOX premiere. The star-studded premiere adds even more Hollywood style as the “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” headliner announced on Twitter that he’d be returning for Friday Night SmackDown in Los Angeles this Friday (Saturday AM AEST).

The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment has provided countless SmackDown memories and looks to add another chapter in the blue brand’s FOX debut.  The Rock originally retired from wrestling in 2004, before returning to the ring in 2012 and 2013 to fight John Cena.

The former WWE star originally retired from the ring in 2004, before returning for two fights in 2012 and 2013 against John Cena.  Now, fans will be able to see the wrestler, known as the People’s Champion, in action again.

Johnson has confirmed he will be appearing on Smackdown! Live, a wrestling show airing in the US for the first time on Friday.  WWE also promised other “Hall of Famers” would appear in the programme.

“Finally…I come back home to my @WWE universe,” Johnson said on Twitter

Earlier this year, he teased his return in an interview on US chat show Live WIth Kelly And Ryan.

He said: “I miss wrestling, I love wrestling.  “Yes, I do…I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have just a really wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, but there’s nothing like a live crowd, a live audience.”

However ROMAN REIGNS has revealed he would love to go one-on-one with “The Great One” – as long as a fight with his cousin The Rock was “done right”..

While appearing on GQ Sports’ Actually Me web series, 34-year-old cancer survivor Reigns was asked about a potential showdown with The Rock.

And “The Big Dog” admitted it would be “huge”.

Reigns, real name Joe Anoaʻi, replied: “If it’s done right, I think, obviously the star that he is, where he’s at in his career, it would be huge.

“It would be great. But you know, we’re family, so it has to make sense. And free the guy up; can we get him a break? Can he take a day off? If he can get a week off, then we might be able to make it happen.”
