DONATION into church needs and activities has been described as one of the major ways of showing gratitude to God for his Grace, mercy and protection towards mankind.

To this end, an illustrious son of Osumenyi, Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Akum Boniface Nnajiofor donated sets of musical equipment, computer gadgets and cash to celebrate the survival of his wife, Lolo  Amaka Nnajiofor, who survived a serious sickness that was finally cured at a specialist hospital in Germany.

High Chief Nnajiofor made the thanksgiving a ‘double barrel’ event by showing visible appreciation to God for  his 105 – year old  mother who also attended the thanksgiving service at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Osumenyi.

The High Chief said that he chose to delve into the business sector from his youthful age instead of qualitative education his father advocated because of his destiny at that sector, adding that he heeded his father’s advice by giving all his children qualitative education abroad and has trained over 180 trade apprentices that have become notable in their respective business and industrial sectors irrespective of their tribe, creed and religion. He said that he floated a scholarship scheme that carters for brilliant but indigent students up to tertiary institutions.

The Archdeacon in charge of Osumenyi Archdeaconry, Ven. Oliver Chigbo commended the gesture of Chief Nnajiofor who has continued to impact on the needs of the Archdeaconry, especially Stephen’s Church, the Archdeaconry Headquarters.

He reminded Christians that no donation or involvement in God’s vineyard has gone abundantly unrewarded.

Igwe  Anayo Obika of  Ezinifite, an in-law to Nnajiofor family attended the thanksgiving service which over eight priests officiated with the church filled to capacity.

Former Councilor, representing Osumenyj ward II in Nnewi   South Local Government, Chief M.N.C Egbeigwe was full of praises for Akum Nnajiofor, who has continued to shower the blessings God bestowed on him on the church and community.
