2023: Get ready for presidency – ex AG tells Obiano



AS the quest for Igbo presidency in 2023 gets wider acclamation, second republic Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the old Anambra State, Prince Rob Iweka has asked Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State to start warming up for the presidency in case the pendulum falls on him.

Iweka, who described Obiano as a potential candidate of Igbo extraction, said that by the time Igbo stakeholders would sit in a round table and discuss how to produce a candidate and who to be produced as candidate, his name might be found in the fore-front of major contenders, based on his quality services so far since he became a governor.

In his vote of thanks at Obosi, during the recent 2019 Iwaji (Obiora Annual Cultural Festival of the traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Chidubem  Iweka III,, the former Attorney-General contended that Obiano has actually done much to warrant choosing him for the presidency, among a long list of other prominent Igbo personalities.

He however reminded Obiano of the present erosion menace in Obosi and urged him to come to their assistance in that regard before the entire community gets completely wiped out by gullies.

Earlier, Obiano had commended Obosi people for their respect and loyalty to their traditional ruler and urged them not to relent.

He cautioned criminals in the State and Obosi in particular to relocate from the state or be prepared to face the consequences for their criminality if caught, adding that his administration has set machinery in motion to ensure that ndi Anambra continued to enjoy security of their lives and property throughout his tenure.
