Akwa Utd FC unveils, coaches Obuh, Udi, 15 players

TWO new coaches and a total of 15 players have been unveiled to provide more vigor and strengthen to the Akwa Ibom Utd FC of Uyo, Akwa Ibom as the new season of 2019-2020 kicks off on November 3rd 2019, throughout the country.

  The coaches are a one-time international coach an Ex Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors John Obuh and his Assistant, Duke Udi also a one-time U-17 International player for Nigeria.

  Speaking while unveiling the coaches and the players, the chairman of Akwa Ibom FC, Uyo, Elder Paul Bassey paid glowing tributes to stakeholders who have secured the club to maintain its present status.

  Elder Bassey especially mentioned Governor of the state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel whose effort has shown for moving the team to the present.

  Bassey, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on sports matters, assured the crowd that the team would win this season’s league title but however called for prayers and total support.

  Also speaking, Technical Manager for the team, John Obuh thanked the state government for the opportunity given them to serve the team. He was very optimistic that with all the cooperation awaiting them, the team will win this year’s league, title.

  The 15 new players, some old ones, unveiled include Phillip David, a former warriors players who is on a year’s contract, Ekemini Koko-ette, 2 years contract, Ally Chikwendu defender, AdewoleAdeyinka goalkeeper, Christian Ekong, former Delta Force ex-maestro.

  Others are, Chukwu, Movvis, Michael Ohanim, IkonoAgu Goalkeeper, Dare Ojo, former Lobi Stars FC, midfielder, Samuel Matthias, Basey Akpan, goalkeeper, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi a former returnee, Smapson Ibenibor, Ubong Friday and Orok Akarandut, a former returnee.
