Madrid plan to land star next summer
KYLIAN Mbappe’s mum and agent has opened the door for her son to seal a mega-money move to Real Madrid by telling the Spanish giants he will not sign a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe said at the end of last season that he was open to the idea of experiencing a new challenge away from the French champions.
However, the 20-year-old ended up staying in the French capital despite being linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool.
PSG are in a strong position as Mbappe still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current Parc des Princes deal.
Real Madrid are still relying on Karim Benzema, who turns 32 next month, while summer signing Luka Jovic has scored just one goal in 11 games since his £62m move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Mbappe could lead a new wave of Galacticos with the likes of Gareth Bale, Isco and James Rodriguez likely to be moved on.
The former Monaco has been hampered by injury this season but has still scored nine goals in 11 games for PSG.
Real Madrid would have to shatter the current world record fee of £198m, which PSG paid for Neymar in 2017, if they are to land their No 1 target.
