establishing aNational Youth Service Corps, South East Skills Acquisition

that skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development programmes remain the
most efficient way to mitigate poverty and unemployment among graduate youths.

members to build on the in-camp training and prepare yourselves to take
advantage of many entrepreneurship opportunities that abound in the state.”

corps members to use the experience garnered during the course to impact
positively on their host communities.
“Ndi Anambra are
open and friendly. They will create enabling environment for you to play your
part in making Anambra a shining light that is more luminous.
“We will remain ever
committed to your welfare and security,” Gov. Obiano vowed.

there would be reward system for corps members who distinguished themselves
during the service year.

the corps members to conscientiously carry out their primary assignments so
that they would leave their ‘footprint on the sands of time’.
Gov. Obiano said
that modalities for enhanced payment of corps members serving in the
hard-to-reach terrains, had reached stage of implementation.
He enjoined those
who would find themselves in hard-to-reach locations to put in their best in
the discharge of their primary assignments.
Anambra State NYSC
Coordinator, Kehinde Aremu, expressed deep appreciation to the governor for
providing better accommodation for the conduct of the course.
“The delivery of
this facility for this noble task has raised the bar yet again on good
governance, project delivery and youth empowerment.”
Mr Aremu announced
corps members’ resolution to take full advantage of several youth empowerment
programmes of the government, including the Smart Jobs initiative, which was
extended to them free of charge.
“They have promised
to reciprocate this kindness through improved service delivery to Ndi Anambra
and to propagate the Anambra spirit and brand with all strength and platforms
available to them.”
Mr Aremu described Anambra as a great state
and home to all good people and cautioned corps members against
undertaking unnecessary journeys.
