Police boss assures of crime free Christmas

THE newly posted Divisional Police Officer to Central Police Station Awka, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Superintendent of Police Chuks Nwoke, has commended the vigilante and their operations on the security of the area.

He made this remarks during the police and community based vigilante group meeting at the CPS, Awka, where both the DPO and his entourage with all the vigilante men made a formal introduction and admonished the vigilante groups that any criminal brought to the police will be sent to law court immediately. He therefore assured of a  crime free Christmas.

The general chairman of PCBU, Chief Johnson Okafor, said that it was  a tradition for any new DPO, being posted to CPS Awka, to come for official introduction with them and have a brief interaction with the vigilante men. He solicited for  more collaborative efforts in other to curb crime to the barest minimum in the society and also commended the efforts and prompt response of the Chairman, Nise Vigilante Unit, Uchenna Ebede to the group meetings and other group engagements.

The Public Relations Officer of the group, Emma Edozie, thanked the DPO and pledged unalloyed support to the police in areas of fighting crime and criminalities.
