Life Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries celebrates Christo Feast, Widows’ Day



It was a glorious moment on Sunday as Life of Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries, 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State held her 2019 Christo Feast and Widows Day.

Speaking at the occasion, the bishop in-charge of the ministry, Emma Obiorah said that Christo Feastt was organised to showcase the significant of the birth of Jesus Christ regardless of the theological debates about the month of birth of the the Messiah.

He said that the programme was characterised by feasting on God’s word, salvation, healing, feeding the poor, helping the needy and putting smiles and cheers on the faces of widows.

Bishop Obiorah called for cordial relationship, genuine fellowship and real friendship which culminate in awakening ” people’s consciousness that they are their brother’s keepers.

He maintained that Christianity is a serious business not a philosophy, platform for scoring cheap popularity or achieving undue advantage over others but a lifestyle and called on governments, men of God and public spirited individuals to pull their resources together to help the needy in the society.

He said he was motivated by the love of God to mankind, seeing the sufferings of the masses.

“I have made it yearly. I think more of the poor masses and the suffering ones. Instead of using our money to compete and build, let’s unite resources together and help the poor.”

He noted that Christianity is not fighting each other but unity to preach the gospel,emphasising that any organisation that is not of Christ will collapse , adding that people should make Christianity to be their personal enterprise.

In his sermon,the Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Mbammili , Henry Okeke said God was calling on people from all angles to preach the gospel of the kingdom to the lost souls.

He said that the Christi Feast was a holistic mission meant to touch souls, families and individuals.

He advised Christians to celebrate love, salvation, peace at this festive period.
In their seperate messages,resident pastor, Life of Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries, Pastor Promise, pastor from Awka Great Gospel Assembly,

Tochukwu Ubaezuonu, and Prof Chigozie Ifedike of Public Health said Christ was a gift to humanity, who brought salvation to mankind and encouraged widows to embrace Christ as the husband of the widows.

In response, some widows, Mrs Franca Ekwegbalu, Mary Chukwuma, and Philomena Obeche prayed for protection of God on the man of God and his family.
The programme ended with sharing of various items to widows and the needy.
