Ozubulu-USA offers free medicare

OZUBULU indigenes based in United States of America, under the aegis of Ozubulu –USA Inc has organised a two day free medical services for citizens resident in Ozubulu.

The free healthcare services which was tagged Ozubulu –USA medical mission was held at the Joint Hospital Ugwuorie Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.

The exercise which attracted residents of Ozubulu, Ihembosi and environs availed them free diagnosis, treatment, medical advice among other benefits from the association.

Illnesses detected and cared for included, diabetes, high blood pressure malaria, eye problem, dental problem and general well-being.

Speaking on the medical mission, President, Ozubulu – USA Inc, Godfrey Echendu, said the medical services was to give back to the community.

According to Chief  Echendu with nostalgia , noted that the Ozubulu community has given a lot to them and it was time to give back for the development of the community in particular and Anambra State in general.

Continuing, the president informed that the association is poised to offer free medical services in the community, adding that being healthy is an important goal in life.

“With good health, people are capable of working and improving their lives.  I am happy we met their needs giving medications. I feel satisfied we are contributing towards a healthy community,” he said

While thanking Ozubulu –USA Inc and donors for a successful medical mission, he described the number of persons that sought for the two days medical services as overwhelming.

Contributing, the Chairman Ozubulu – USA Medical Mission, Benard Okweluogo informed that the medical outreach is one of the activities of the association.

Dr Okweluogo said the association apart from healthcare services has offered scholarship and donated security vehicles to the community. He stated that some individuals in the association have also donated security vehicles towards the improvement of security in the town.

While reiterating that the aim of the medical mission is to give back to the community, he informed that the association was formed in 2014 to contribute towards the growth of Ozubulu and Anambra in general.

One of the beneficiaries Clement Offor expressed happiness over the medical mission, and implored the association not to relent.

In another development Ozubulu –USA acquired a land for the construction of a Civic Center for the community.
