Monarch charges youths to shun cultism

THE Paramount ruler of Ebenebe community in Awka North Local Government Of Anambra State, His Royal Highness, Chris Nnaegbuna has warned his subjects to shun cultism.

Chief Nnaegbuna who said this in an event marking the celebration of  Ebenebe town, stressed that the government of Anambra State and Nigeria had issued a decree of no mercy to every cultist apprehended by the security operatives and advised every parent to caution their children and wards to desist from cultism, educating them on the dangers inherent in such involvement and practice.

He further appreciated the natives for being of good conducts in the past years. “I also heartily thank the pillars of this community who ensure things are done right, may God bless your all. I will do all of my best to see that Ebenebe becomes greater than imagined because it has been 22 years that the people of this town unanimously chose me to sit on this throne as their king.”

“I am also praying that God brings peace amongst us where we will live in harmony as a family. A community, nation or state without a law is bound to live in chaos. In years past, we left the tradition of our people and this brought untold suffering on our children.

He further admonished parents to see to it that their children enjoy a balanced and deepened parental grooming. This he said as he announced the abolishing of the law compelling a man to marry whoever he impregnates. In his words, “this has brought a lot of casualty on us as these children born in this condition grow to become societal nuisance and wreck havocs in the community.

The Awka North TC Chairman, Ferdinand Onwuje who graced the occasion and also a native of the community implored all to make cognitive input to see that Ebenebe becomes great, progressives.

“We are so blessed in various ways. In academics, politics, business, entertainment, career, among others. I urge all in their different levels, practice and areas of expertise to be part of those propelling Ebenebe forward,” he added.
