St. Stephen Anglican Church inaugurates ‘Home and Abroad’ meeting in Osumenyi

MEMBERS of New St. Stephen Anglican Church Home and Abroad General Meeting have been officially inaugurated.

  Ven. Oliver Chigbo, the Archdeacon in-charge of Osumenyi Archdeaconry and parish priest of St. Stephen Anglican Church, Osumenyi, charged the new home and abroad executives of the church, led by Chief Elias Ukachukwu to work assiduously to raise the infrastructural outlook of the church which has hosted synod sessions to expected level.

  In his sermon at the service, a guest preacher, Elias Ukachukwu urged Christians who spend huge percentage of their wealth to bring a portion to their respective home churches for renovation, refurbishing and funding of evangelical outreaches.

  He was worried that the church does not have enough to handle workers’ salaries and undertook to clear the seven months N3.5 million areas while his senior, High Chief  Sam Nnaemeka Ukachukwu doled out N1 million .

  The guest speaker used various biblical chapters and verses to support his admonition to some Christians who have not been involved in church activities and projects.

  He finally recalled that the church is the headquarters of Osumenyi Archdeaconry and deserves befitting structure.
