Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed the signing of Enzo Loiodice on loan from Dijon SCO – their 13th acquisition of the season. The 19-year-old will spend the rest of the season at Molineux and has a buying option should he impress in the coming months.

Loiodice will join up with the u23s, competing with the likes of Terry Taylor, Owen Otasowie, Wai-Tsun Dai, Elliot Watt, Flávio Cristóvão and Chem Campbell for playing time. He’ll hope to impress James Collins and maybe give Nuno Espirito Santo food for the thought.

The Frenchman had already broken into the Dijon first-team, making 24 appearances in all competitions, so he won’t be faxed at the challenge ahead of him at Wolves.

It remains to be seen whether he’ll get a chance to play with Romain Saiss, Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves or Joao Moutinho this season, however.

Wolves have made it clear that his debut campaign will be all about development. They’ll want to see signs from his training and matchday performances that he’s worth signing permanently.

With Loiodice rising through the youth ranks to the first-team at Dijon, in addition to representing his country at u20 level, he could be a good acquisition.
