HEALTH team of Anambra in conjunction with the African representative for Zipline Yaniv Gelnik, recently paid a courtesy visit to the state house, to present the drug drone delivery technology for the hard to reach areas in the state.

The international device operating in USA, is a drone delivery operating system in the world on a national scale, that fly round hospitals to supply blood, drugs and vaccines during emergencies and on a daily basis.

Speaking during the visit, Gelnik said their service is very efficient and reliable. “We have been in operation for the past three years and have done over 3000 deliveries, and have never experienced any injury or damaged products”.

“We prioritise emergencies and ensure that hospitals in the villages have all they need to reduce mortality rate and low birth syndrome. We put the products in a special package and deliver with our drones nation wide,” Gelnik said.

The African representative for Zipline, further said that the facility which has been coordinated with the civil aviation authority can do 150 deliveries a day. As the drone approaches the hospital, it sends an SMS to the doctor to come out and collect the package.
