WHAT is your assessment on how the entertainment industry has fared in Anambra State under the administration of Gov Willie Obiano?

It’s absolutely huge and promising. The governor has done so well in encouraging night life. This, he achieved by tightening security and installing street lights. You can agree with me that, light is a necessary tool to economic advancement. Our governor loves creative arts and rewards creativity. I am a witness and beneficiary of his benevolence. He has done a lot in supporting entertainment in very high moods. For example, the transformation of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) to a digital standard gives you a clue to his idea of throwing support to every form of creativity.

It’s by his support that I was able to launch ‘Made in Anambra Talent Show’ that focuses on raw talents on music, movies, dance, spoken words, rap act, magicians, amongst others.

Under our governor, there has been lots of activities that has brought celebrities in likes of Naira Marley, Davido, Mr. Flavour. This has boost the level of entertainment in the state and Diaspora.

Do you think the government is doing so well in youth participation in the state politics?

Yes, he is doing excellently well. For example, I am an Executive Assistant (EA) to the governor. He has left no stone unturned in involving youths in his government. In lieu of the party’s slogan,”Onye Aghana Nwanne ya’, he invited every creative persons to come back home and get involved in advancing the affairs of the administration. He is ever ready to support anyone as far as you have something to offer on the table.

What are your expectations for the future in improving the sector in Anambra?

I’m convinced that entertainment has improved and will increase more in the state. The future is bright for all especially in the entertainment sector and the inspiration keeps gaining momentum. However, there are other things to add up to boost the industry and improve economy like establishing showbiz and talents hunt, creating recreational centres where various forms of arts are displayed.
