I wish that he will fulfil his promises to Ndi Anambra – Okechukwu

WHAT do you think about Governor Obiano’s six years in office?

Our Governor, Governor Willie Obiano is a very good man and ever since he mounted the status of leadership in Anambra State, he has done a lot of good things for the state. He has done a lot in many areas and the chief among others is security which is to save lives and property.

Governor has done so well in the issue of securities that our people can now sleep with their both eyes closed. Another area he has done well is infrastructural development. Not long after he assumed the leadership of the state, he constructed athree gigantic flyovers in Awka, thereby giving Awka a first lift as a state capital and those flyovers today are still helping to reduce traffic jam that we usually face in those areas.

When it comes to education, you will also bear with me that Governor Willie Obiano has equally done very well because during last year child celebration held either in October or November, Anambra won out of five laurels that were on display on that day including the best public school, best administrator and other awards that Anambra State won on that day.

So in other areas like transportation, he has also done well by providing some buses that ferry people to go to their various destinations with low or no cost at all. When you talk about youth empowerment, I’ve not seen anyone that has empowered the youths than Governor Obiano. Most of the aides who are presently working for him are youths. I’m also aware of the new program that is being organised by Honourable Commissioner for Youths Entrepreneurship to alleviate the sufferings of Anambra youths.

Then our primary health care centres are equipped with good facilities to take care of the primary health care service needs of our people. The immunization program of Anambra State is sine qua non. For instance, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka, also known as Amaku has been given a serious face lift ever since Obiano mounted the status of leadership. He built an oxygen plant to help patients that may need oxygen to revive. I can go on and on. I believe that every ministry and parastatal has one good thing to talk about the leadership of Governor Obiano in the past six years.

What other things would you expect the governor to achieve before the end of his tenure?

Before the end of his tenure, I wish that he will fulfil his promises to Ndi Anambra which include the airport and International Conference Centre. I also wish that he can be able to mop up resources to tackle our bad roads in our urban and rural areas and if urgent actions are not taken, I believe that it may be disastrous as soon as another raining season comes. Therefore, we are just looking up to him to see how he will fulfil the promises.
