A BODY known as Uzokamma Support  Group has called on ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh to take a shot at the gubernatorial race for Anambra governor’s office when election activities kick off in the state next year.

Speaking during the inauguration of the group’s excos drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state, Ibeh accepted the call from the group and thanked them for finding him worthy of such trust as leading a state as big as Anambra; adding that he will not let the people down but will continue with the good work of Governor Willie Obiano, if elected by the people of Anambra during governorship election in 2021.

“I am honoured by your call to come and serve the state in such capacity as the governor. I believe that your decision was borne by the values you may have discovered in my person.

In fighting for the common good, I stop at nothing and promise I will ensure to give my best for the well-being of citizens in the state.”

Commenting on the platform he hopes to achieve his dream, Ibeh stated that it would be under All Progressives Grand Alliance  (APGA) Party and is upbeat in chances of picking the ticket to fly the party’s flag for the race.

The convener of the event and Co-ordinator, ‘Uzokamma Support Group’, Obinna Okoye described Ibe, popularly called Ezebunafor, as a man who has positively affected many lives without using government’s fund through contracts or appointments.

He maintained that the Awgbu, Orumba, Anambra State born successful businessman turned politician, would be a good product for ndi-Anambra due to his  closeness to the people.

“I have no doubt in my mind that Ezebunafor will deliver the dividends of good governance to the people of Anambra given his track record of  philanthropy.

Anambra needs fresh and young minds like him for a more accelerated development.” Okoye noted.

Highlights of the event were inaugurations of working committee, LG Co-ordinators, administration of oaths by the group legal adviser, Tony Onyebuchi and issuance of certificates of recognition to the respective officers.
