COVID-19: Patient who tested positive opens up



… Laments ill treatment in isolation centre

A lady by name, Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi, took to her social handles to narrate her experience in the isolation centre located in Lagos. She said she had contracted the disease during a post Commonwealth event in the UK.

She went further to display various pictures of what she went through in the Infectious Disease Control Section of the hospital  in Yaba.

She writes,“… Life find ways of throwing lemon at me. I have struggled with coming forward, but I want to inspire hope. I returned to Nigeria from the UK post-Commonwealth event and fell ill.

As a responsible person, i self –isolated. Days later, I tested positive to COVID-19…I got to isolation centre, but no one was there to receive me. I waited in the ambulance for two hours…..”

Osowobi lamented the ill treatment meted on her by some nurses who treated her like plague making her feel rejected. She promised to share daily symptoms and recovery process in a video.

According to her, she fought to live especially taking oral drips since she had loss of appetite. Finally, she felt relieved after her test result showed she was negative after spending days at the quarantine centre.
